Situated on a quiet road 2 miles East of Maria Alm village, you are just 120 meters from the ski slopes and chair lift station.

 

There is a bus stop 20 meters from the house, which has a regular service down to the village and into the town of Saalfelden.

 

The Hotel Bachschmied is just 100 meters away, and is a great place for Après Ski and Evening Meals.

 

There are stunning views over the valley floor and up to the snow-capped mountain peaks at around 2,900 meters high.

The Spacious Living Room is at the front of the house and has comfortable seating for up to ten people.  There is a TV and DVD player plus some board games to entertain you. 

 

The Double French Doors open out to the South Facing Terrace and fenced garden, providing a safe play area for children in the summer.  You can easily see the ski slopes and meadows from the comfort of your easy chair. 

 

For extra sleeping capacity we have included a double and a single sofa bed.  (Extra bedding is available on request)

Kitchen

 

The kitchen is at the front of the house with a hatch through to the living room.

 

We have provided the following facilities:

* Kettle, Toaster, Coffee Maker

* Microwave

 

Triple Bedroom

 

This room is at the back of the house and comprises of an Austrian Twin (joint base bed with 2 separate mattresses) and a single sofabed.  

 

As well as overhead reading lights, there are 2 bed side tables and a 7 drawer chest with a triple wardrobe in the walk-in closet area.  

 

There is a full length mirror next to the power sockets.

Family Bathroom

 

Situated off the walk-in closet, this large family bathroom comprises of shower cubicle, full size bath with shower attachment, wash basin, toilet, bedae and washer dryer machine.

 

This bathroom has under floor heating.

 

A full clean set of towels will be provided for your stay.

 

Twin Bedroom

 

This bedroom comprises of an Austrian Twin (joint base bed with 2 separate mattresses).

 

As well as overhead reading lights, there are 2 bed side tables with drawers and a 4 drawer chest with a double wardrobe in the hallway. 

 

As with the triple room, fresh bedding will be provided for your stay.

En-Suite Shower

 

Situated off the twin bedroom, this is a shower room with wash basin.

Separate WC

 

Opposite the twin bedroom, there is a second separate WC with wash basin.

General Layout

 

The main entrance to the house is at the side of the building where there is ample storage area for your golf or ski equipment in the porch area.

 

This very spacious apartment measures 102m² .  The central hallway accesses each of the individual rooms.

Danish Wood Burner

 

An important feature for any evening or even a cold winters day. 

 

Warm yourself around our Wood Burning Fire.  We always have a good stock of wood kept outside.

House Facilities

 

We have tried to make our holiday home as comfortable as possible and have included the facilities of a hairdryer, a brand new washer-dryer, iron and ironing board and basic cleaning equipment.

 

The Television has approximately 40 channels including MTV and CNN.  We don’t supply any DVD discs so please bring your own.

 

You may wish to remember to take your own little essentials, English Tea Bags & Marmite!

 

Each room has it’s own electrical storage heater which is controlled by an individual thermostatic control shown here.  

 

The water supply is fed from a natural spring and is quite safe to drink from the tap.

 

Electricity is 240v and all sockets are standard European type.  

Garden and Surrounding Area

 

The front garden has been newly fenced with locking gates to provide a safe environment for children of all ages.   There is ample parking space at the side of the house and the terrace provides a very sunny aspect with sounds of the river that is just across the road below the ski slopes.

 

The quiet road in front of the house serves the villages of Maria Alm, Hinterthal, Dienten and Mulbach, linking Saalfelden with Bischofshofen.     There is a regular bus service to all of these villages and towns.

 

Taxi’s are widely available and are very reasonably priced.

 

We have a breakfast table in the kitchen and have a variety of utensils in the cupboards including plates, bowls, cups & mugs, glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots & pans plus the all important tin opener!

 

There are two very good supermarkets in Maria Alm, both serving fresh produce on a daily basis.   The hypermarkets in Saalfelden are within easy reach using the local bus service.
